IP PBX

The PBX (Private Branch Exchange) is a telephone system that connects several end devices such as telephones, fax machines or answering machines with each other as well as with one or more lines of the public telephone network.

Thanks to the spread of IT-based communication networks, classic IT and TC are intertwined, so that development is moving ever further towards purely software-based systems.

Today's TC systems no longer require proprietary solutions, but can be operated on commercially available servers. The SIP standard (VoIP) is usually used to connect to the telephone devices or the exchange line, while connections on the office side or the connection of analog end devices are usually made via VoIP gateways.
